Ready?

I usually wait until after New Year
to put the Christmas decor away.
For some reason, I was a little more
eager to do so this year.

So, the last day of the year,
away it went.
Starting the New Year "clean"
feels good.

I did leave our faux tree up with just
the white lights
and
I moved it to the corner of the dining room.
I like the ambient light when I'm
up late or rise before the sun.

I brought some pieces in from the garage too...

Bring it on, 2013!
I'm ready...
are you?

xo, Amber

You are way ahead of me- I have so much stuff to put away...and I am going to sort as I go this year so that I can give my son a new start in his single life. I hope that I can be done by the end of the week- xo Diana

Dear Amber

What touched me the most out of this post was the saying on the chalk board. Tough lesson for me to learn this year that sometimes we no longer belong somewhere. I look forward to the new places in 2013. Here's to your new year and an exciting new chapter my sweet friend

I love love love it! All the photo's everything.
I have that too... when the tree is up sometimes I just can't wait to put it all away again.
We picked tomorrow to do it all.
It feels so refreshing! Like spring is right there and the spring cleaning is here lol.
Most of the time I put the lights in a huge vase because I tend to start missing it and suddenly it seems so bare...

Also I really need to hang up my chandeliers... When I see your photo, the gorgeous chalkboard and the prisms on your chandelier... I just want to put it all together TODAY!

Happy new year My dear friend!
By the way the text on the chalkboard is kind of a true one for me too... Where do we really belong?
And where I want to be is that the right place for me/us?

Hugs,
Sandy

Just darling. Love the black board frame. I am almost done putting away our Christmas decorations, only the big living room tree and then all the boxes go in the attic. I am looking forward to Spring and lots of painting.
